"I am happy at West Ham and I want to help the club save itself. I don't run away from a battle, even if its not going well," the Hammers defender told the Czech daily Pravo.

"Of course, the possibility exists that West Ham may be relegated but life would go on, I would play in a lower league and fight to get the side back in the Premiership, nothing more, nothing less."

Repka, who has helped West Ham keep three clean sheets in their last four games, is staying optimistic about their run-in, and targeting two games with relegation rivals.

"We're still alive and our chances are 50-50. We've got games with Aston Villa and Bolton ahead of us. Those will be key matches. We will fight until the last moment and I believe there will be a good end to the season for us,"
