Robbo puts his name forward

The former Middlesbrough boss, a one-time England team-mate of caretaker boss Trevor Brooking, has expressed an interest in the job made vacant by Glenn Roeder's sacking earlier this week.

"I would definitely be interested in the West Ham job. They are a big club with plenty of ambition and that interests me," he said.

"I am keen to get back into management and would have no worries about moving to London. It would be a great chance."
