Allardyce believes the Hammers will be safe with 40 points and is looking for his team to get to that mark as soon as possible.
Speaking at the press conference ahead of the trip to Anfield, Sam said, “Historically, the last team to go down with 40 was a long, long time ago - that might have been West Ham with 42, which was a first, ever. But I do think 40 will definitely be enough this season. For us it’s about getting 40 and more if we possibly can.”
