The 38-year-old former Spurs and Manchester Utd forward has penned a one year deal at Upton Park after his contract at Portsmouth expired.

"I am very pleased to have signed Teddy whose vast experience and goalscoring ability will be a vital ingredient to my promotion plans for this season," Hammers boss Alan Pardew told the club's official website.

"He is a proven goalscorer at all levels and will be a massive influence on the younger players in the squad, especially strikers Marlon Harewood and Bobby Zamora, who will benefit enormously from his presence."
