Spence returns

The 20-year-old returns to the Hammers squad for the last few games of the season as they look to avoid relegation.

Spence has spent two months in Bristol, playing in 11 games and impressing the management at Ashton Gate immensely.  He has also earned a call up to the Stuart Pearce’s England U-21 squad.

He rejoins Avram Grants squad following injury doubts to both main central defenders, Matthew Upson (dead leg) and James Tomkins (knee).

Spence will be looking to add to his solitary performance for the Hammers which ironically came on the last day of last season.
