Straumur get extension

The news looks set to be a blow to those hoping that Straumur will be forced into selling the Hammers within the very immediate future.

A statement from the bank reads, “The District Court of Reykjavík has today granted Straumur-Burdaras Investment bank hf. an extension of moratorium until 10 September 2010."

A £50 million bid for the Hammers from David Sullivan and David Gold looks set to be rejected outright, as a result.
