Galatasaray are set to make a move for West Ham forward Albian Ajeti in an effort to bolster their attacking ranks.
The Turkish giants are currently third in the Turkish Süper Lig and are looking for attacking options to help lead scorer Radamel Falcao push the side back to the peak of Turkish football.
The former Atlético Madrid and Manchester United forward has been in good goalscoring form for Gala, but he's the only player in the squad with more than six league goals to his name and while the Lions have the best defence in the Süper Lig, they only have the fifth best attack and are hoping signing Ajeti from West Ham will add some firepower.
Having signed last summer for £8m from FC Basel, Ajeti has struggled to make an impact for West Ham and has failed to find the back of the net in any of his eight league appearances for the club, but Galatasaray are hoping the forward will find his feet in Turkey and play a significant role in the club regaining their league title.
The Istanbul side are reportedly hoping to sign Ajeti on an initial loan deal, with an option to buy down the line if the loan spell proves successful.
It's yet to be seen whether the Hammers will be willing to let the Swiss striker leave on a temporary deal, but with Ajeti yet to play a full 90 minutes in the Premier League for the side, it doesn't appear that he'll be a key feature in David Moyes' first-team plans any time soon.
That being said, West Ham's only other recognised senior centre-forward is Sébastian Haller - the £40m signing from Eintracht Frankfurt - who hasn't exactly been prolific in front of goal himself.
Unless the Hammers bring in another quality option, Ajeti may be the only choice as a back-up.
