Joorabchian and his Isreali backer Eli Papouchado are reported to have seen the Hammers' books and undertook the process of due diligence this week.

Upon completion of the takeover it is still understood that under pressure manager Alan Pardew will be sacked as the new board look to move in a different direction.

One man who will certainly be laughing all the way to the bank is the current West Ham's chairman Terence Brown. A number of media sources have reported that much-hated Brown will walk away with a personal windfall of around £25 million for his share of the club.
