Carr joined the Hammers back in the 60’s as an apprentice and has been here ever since. He is heralded as one of the greatest nurturer or young talent this country has ever seen and is credited with having a major influence on at least half of the current England squad’s careers.
A team made up of stars that have graduated from the Hammers Academy under the stewardship of Carr will take on a Hammers XI on Wednesday 5th May 2010 at the Boleyn Ground.
“I am pleased we have been able to name a date,” Carr said on the official site. “I am really looking forward to it and hopefully we will have a big turnout on the night. It should be a great occasion."
