Testimonial for Retiring Forrest

Forrest: Retiring after battle with cancer
As a testament to the loyalty of former Hammers and Ipswich shot-stopper Craig Forrest, the two sides will meet up for a testimonial some time this season.

The Canadian International was released by the Hammers earlier this summer when his contract expired, and although he has since recovered from his battle with cancer, he has been advised to stop playing professionally.

Craig was with the tractor boys for 12 years, and the Hammers for 5 - although he only notched up 37 appearances for the boys in claret 'n' blue, as he was always more of an understudy than a first choice keeper. West Ham will therefore arrange a fixture against Ipswich at Portman Road sometime during the coming season.

WestHammersFC would like to wish Craig all the best for a healthy and enjoyable future.
