Finally, Titi Camara bagged a double in the friendly fixture against Dagenham & Redbridge on Friday night, as the Hammers ran out 2-1 winners.

Many first teamers such as Defoe, Kanoute, Cole, Carrick, Sinclair, Repka, Dailly and James were rested, but Van der Gouw played in goal, whilst Camara, Minto, Labant, Byrne and Courtois were all given run outs.

New signing, Youssef Sofiane also featured, and had an impressive game, with his pace frightening the opposition. England under-19 Glenn Johnson played at right-back, and certainly solidated his position as one for the future.

Camara could have put the Hammers up as early as the 20th minute, but it wasn't until the the half hour mark when he scored with a low shot. After conceding an equaliser just after the interval, it was a long wait until Titi's second - in the dying seconds of the match when he popped up to score his second of the game - staking his claim for a place in the Hammers team.

West Ham: Van der Gouw (Forde 45); Johnson, Iriekpen (Khan 78), Pearce (D McMahon 45), Minto; Courtois (Britton 81), Byrne (Moncur 45), Edwards, Labant; Sofiane (Allen 45), Camara. Subs unused: Eastwood, McClenahan.
