It has been reported in several sections of the media that former Leeds United left back Ian Harte could be looking for a return to England after completing a season in La Liga with relegated Levante.
Pardew will be looking to strengthen his defence and Harte may be a more realistic target than Arsenal’s Justin Hoyte. Pardew attempted to lure Hoyte to Upton Park during last season but his attempts proved unsuccessful.
