West Ham & Crystal Palace Leading the Race to Sign £20m-Rated QPR Star Eberechi Eze

West Ham United and Crystal Palace are the leading contenders in the race to sign QPR star Eberechi Eze, with the young midfielder one of the hottest stars of the Championship ahead of the summer transfer window.

Eze has been QPR's star performer this season, recording 13 league goals and eight assists, despite his club's struggles throughout the year.

Interest in the 22-year-old is high and a number of Premier League sides are eager to land his signature. Tottenham and Crystal Palace are two sides recently linked with a move for Eze. However, according to The Athletic's David Ornstein, West Ham and Palace are now the frontrunners to land the attacking midfielder ahead of next season.

£20m-rated Eze is wanted by a number of Premier League clubs

Hammers boss David Moyes has made little secret of his interest in Eze and was even in attendance for QPR's game with Millwall at the weekend, a game that saw the rising star score on the way to a 4-3 win for Mark Warburton's side.

QPR would like £20m for the England Under-21 international, a price they may be prepared to lower due to the current climate. However, it may not be an unreasonable figure for West Ham, who are keen to boost their goalscoring numbers next season.

Eze - who has just a year left on his QPR contract - wouldn't be the first young Englishman that Moyes has recruited from the Championship for his side, following the signing Jarrod Bowen from Hull for £22m in January.

Bowen joined from Championship side Hull in January and has been an undisputed success

Bowen, who was also linked with Crystal Palace before joining the Hammers, has scored once and created four assists in the league since his January arrival and West Ham will be hoping for a similar impact from Eze, were he to join in the upcoming transfer window.
