West Ham Leading Trio of Premier League Clubs Interested in Serhou Guirassy

West Ham are among a trio of Premier League clubs interested in signing Serhou Guirassy from struggling Amiens.

The 23-year-old has netted eight times in 21 Ligue 1 appearances this season, but has been unable to fire his side away from the relegation zone.

Guirassy only joined Amiens on a permanent basis from FC Koln last summer, but his performances already look to have captured the attention of Premier League suitors - with The Sun claiming that West Ham are frontrunners to seal his signature.

The report goes on to claim, though, that the Hammers are facing competition for his signature from London rivals Tottenham, as well as Graham Potter's Brighton.

Amiens are willing to sit down and negotiate a deal, given their precarious league position in Ligue 1 - they are 19th, five points away from safety - and are conscious of agreeing a deal while Guirassy's stock is high.

Officials from the Ligue 1 side are said to have been in London last week for meetings, and there's hope that an agreement for a summer move can be agreed soon.

Any move to West Ham will be dependant on the club remaining in the Premier League next season, and the Hammers are currently in desperate trouble. David Moyes has won just one league game since returning to the London Stadium to replace the sacked Manuel Pellegrini, leaving West Ham in 18th, a point away from safety.

That may open the door for Tottenham and Brighton to swoop in and make moves of their own, and scouts from both sides were on hand to watch Guirassy score twice against Paris Saint-Germain in a recent 4-4 draw.

Were he move to West Ham, Guirassy would be tasked with relieving the workload of Sebastien Haller, who has mustured six Premier League goals this season following his club-record £45m move to east London.

Spurs, meanwhile, still need to find adequate backup to Harry Kane, who is currently injured, while Brighton are in need of added reinforcements to help Neal Maupay up top.

Were any of the trio to sign Guirassy, they'll be acquiring a player who has succeeded at international level - netting four times in nine Under-20 appearances for France.
