West Ham Seeking Loan for Valentino Lazaro - Karl Toko Ekambi Also Offered by Agent

West Ham are said to have held talks with Inter over a loan deal for Valentino Lazaro, while the Irons have also been offered the chance to sign Villarreal forward Karl Toko Ekambi.

The former arrived at San Siro last summer, joining from Hertha Berlin for a fee of €24m. However, he has failed to make the desired impact in Milan, playing only six Serie A matches this term.

David Moyes

FC Inter News claim Antonio Conte's side are looking to offload Lazaro for the remainder of the 2019/20 campaign in the hope their investment will eventually come good, the club believing he needs more game time.

West Ham have already approached I Nerazzurri as they seek reinforcements, though they face stiff competition from German outfit Werder Bremen, who have likewise enquired over the Austrian's availability.

Fortunately for David Moyes and co, negotiations with Inter shouldn't prove too troublesome with the Italians set to land Leonardo Spinazzola from Roma and Ashley Young from Manchester United, making Lazaro surplus to requirements.

Of course, the Irons will still have to better the terms offered by Werder, while a move for Toko Ekambi could see them go head-to-head with English rivals Newcastle, according to Spanish news outlet El Periodico Mediterraneo.

Toko Ekambi

It's understood the striker's agent has met with West Ham officials to discuss a potential switch to the London Stadium, but St James' Park is another possible destination.

Toko Ekambi's main priority is leaving Villarreal after growing concerned over a lack of minutes with El Submarino Amarillo, though he is also eager to join a Premier League club if given the opportunity.

Six goals in 18 La Liga matches this term isn't exactly a bad tally. However, the rumoured asking price is €24.5m. If the Spaniards refuse to lower it, the Cameroonian may have to accept a move to either West Ham or Newcastle is unrealistic.
