West Ham Willing to Consider Offers for Felipe Anderson Amid Napoli Interest

West Ham are willing to consider bids for the underperforming Felipe Anderson, amid interest from Napoli.

The 26-year-old arrived at the London Stadium back in 2018 from Lazio and enjoyed an impressive debut season, scoring 10 goals and registering five assists. He has struggled to replicate this form during the current campaign, though, scoring just once in 24 appearances.

This disappointing form means West Ham will listen to offers in the region of £42m for the forward, according to the Daily Mirror.

Serie A return could be on the cards for Anderson at the end of the season, with Napoli named as potential suitors for the Brazilian.

Manager Gennaro Gattuso, who replaced Carlo Ancelotti in the Gli Azzurri hot seat, is thought to be lining him up as a potential replacement for Jose Callejon, who is attracting interest from a host of clubs -  including Everton and Aston Villa. Napoli have not yet made a bid for the player but they are not put off by his shaky, recent form.

Anderson has two years left on his current deal, though West Ham are understood to have the option of triggering a one-year extension, meaning they should be able to command the hefty fee they want for the player.

The Hammers are set for a significant squad overhaul at the end of the season with Moyes keen to make up to five new signings.

However, the nature of these new recruits will very much depend on whether the club preserves its Premier League status. West Ham currently sit 16th in the table but the only thing keeping them out of the relegation places is a marginally superior goal difference.

They have also had to deal with negative press over the past couple of months, particularly when vice-chairman Baroness Karren Brady was heavily criticised for perceived self-interest amid her calls to declare the current season null and void.
