Gavin, 25, joined the Hammers from Yeovil Town in December 2004 for £250,000 and despite a promising start to his Upton Park career he’s had to endure a number of injury setbacks. Despite playing in the 4-2 Carling Cup victory over Sheffield Wednesday, he has not featured in the Premiership this year so will be looking forward to get some first team football under his belt in order to cement his place in the Welsh national squad.
Town manager Joe Royle told Ipswich’s official site, “Gavin will be joining us on loan for a month, he is looking forward to coming here and we're delighted to have him here.
