Young Hammers thrashed in FA Cup

With only Matt Jarvis, Stewart Downing and Ravel Morrison recognisable from the first team, the Hammers were under pressure from the very start.  George Moncur conceded a penalty for a clumsy challenge on 12 minutes which was cheekily converted by Nadjim Abdou chipping straight down the middle.

The Hammers managed to hang on in the game until half time and it just when it looked like they were starting to test their opponents in the second half Forest forward Jamie Paterson scored his first of the afternoon.

The wheels then came off for the Hammers.  Goals 3 and four were dispatched by Paterson to complete a 15 minute second half hat-trick.  Salt was then well and truly rubbed into the wounds when Andy Reid fired home to seal the 5-0 thrashing.
