RESERVES

The reserve team started the season with a difficult away game at Arsenal. West Ham played well and fought to keep out the home team. Trent McClenan and Youseff Sofiane twice put us ahead before the Gunners sealed the win in cruel fashion with almost the last kick of the game.

Result- LOST 2-3

The first home game saw Leicester as the visitors. West Ham dominated the first half, creating a hat full of chances and Hogan Ephraim, deservedly put them ahead just before half time. The lead was short lived however as Leicester replied with a long range effort that just slid under the body of Matt Reed. The second half fizzled out and the points were shared.

Result- DRAW 1-1

Last night saw the Reserves record their first win of the season, away at Portsmouth. Despite going into the break trailing by one goal, the Hammers dominated the second half. Bobby Zamora got a brace of goals and Chris Cohen stepped up to cooly put away a penalty to seal the points.

Result- WIN 3-1

UNDER 18'S

Opening game for the youth squad was a tricky away game at Bolton. The game was a dull affair with both defences playing well. The few chances available were not put away and the game finished goalless.

Result- DRAW 0-0

The Second game was also away, this time at Everton. This proved to be an exiting match with a hat full of goals. Everton dominated the first half, and went into the break two up. An early third goal looked to have wrapped up the points for the home team, but West Ham had other ideas. In a devastating thirteen minute spell, two goals from Tony Stokes and one from James Tomkins gave the Hammers a point.

Result 3-3
