Hammers' chairman gives us most positive impression yet that the Argentine striker could start next season at Upton Park

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Magnusson revealed his plans for the future; a future which, according to him, could very well include Carlos Tevez.

"It takes time to build a side to reach the top six - it does not happen over night, but we will do it within a few years.

"Tevez has a contract with West Ham for three more years and I am confident he will be here next season.

"He's a great player, a great lad, everyone loves him around the club - and I think he'll be playing here next season.

He also indicated a determination to bring in more players after the signing of Scott Parker from Newcastle yesterday, "We are also hoping to bring in three more quality players. We want quality players, but for quality players you have to pay a price."
