Earlier this month West Ham rejected a bid from Sunderland for the 27 year old Northern Ireland international, believed to be around £4.5million. On July 10th, McCartney signalled his intention to remain at Upton Park.
"I would like to stay at West Ham," he told the Belfast Telegraph.
"I have no desire to leave. When clubs show an interest in you it is flattering but I have enjoyed my time at West Ham."
